Masterplanning

A masterplan should capture the full economic and aesthetic potential of a place, whilst also satisfying planning and environmental constraints. SLR's staff have produced masterplans for tourism and leisure, residential, waterfront, commercial, industrial and mixed use developments throughout the world.

Resolving the complexity of building new schools safely alongside existing premises while maintaining significant open space for sport and play is a typical masterplanning challenge for the group. The design team lean toward working with the grain of townscapes, infrastructure constraints and cultural and historical context to prepare imaginative, robust and cost-effective masterplans.
